RED BANK, NJ: The kids were out in force as they raced to gather the eggs yesterday at the Count Basie Park, located at 11 Henry Street.
Anxiously lined up on the sidelines for a 10:00am start, Parks and Recreation Director Charlie Hoffmann started them off and the children took to the field with their baskets and bags to gobble up more than 8,000 plastic eggs.
Charlie had a few eggs hidden in his pockets that he casually dropped for the smaller children, so they didn’t go away empty-handed.
It was a perfect day for the egg hunt. Thank you to both the Red Bank Key Club and Police Department for all their help,: said Charlie Hoffmann, Parks and Recreations Director.
April 2 will be Hoffmann’s last day as he is set to become Rumson’s Parks and Recreations Director. The hardest working man in Red Bank will be missed.
Mark your calendars for the Red Bank Bunny Parade!
The Easter Bunny will be riding atop of a firetruck circling throughout the borough, waving to the children on Wednesday, March 31, beginning at 4:00pm.
