SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – When Utah football takes the field on Saturday against Oregon State, they will be wearing all red.
The Utes equipment staff released the uniform combination for the team and the players will be wearing red helmets, red jerseys and red pants.
Since joining the Pac-12 in 2011, Utah is 18-4 when they wear the all-red uniform combination.
It’s the first time this season that Utah will wear the all-red combo. Last season, they sported the combination once in their 30-12 win in Provo over BYU in the 2019 season opener.
In 2018, Utah wore the all-red combo twice. They beat Weber State, 41-10 at home in the season opener and also picked up a 35-27 victory over BYU at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
In three home games against Oregon State as conference foes, Utah wore two different combinations. First meeting was in 2011, Utah wore red helmets with black jerseys and black pants. They wore the same combo in 2013. The Utes split those two meetings.
The last home game versus the Beavers, the Utes sported the all-black combination in their 27-12 victory.
Utah and Oregon State will kickoff at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 5. The game will be televised on ESPN.
