COLUMBUS, Ohio - The number of Level 3 or “red” counties on the Ohio Public Health Advisory System map, which shows risk of coronavirus spread, decreased from seven to six on Thursday, Gov. Mike DeWine said.
Summit County is back in the red. Last week it was orange, having lower risk.o
The other counties that are red are: Butler, Montgomery, Mercer, Preble and Putnam.
Numerous factors are considered when evaluating counties for risk — including cases per capita, an increase in new cases over consecutive days and non-congregate living cases.

The county has also experienced an increase of hospitalizations from two on Aug. 22 to seven on Aug. 29, he said.
Outbreaks have stemmed at workplaces and at a fraternal club.
DeWine didn’t identify the club, which is a nonprofit and has a restaurant and a bar.
“In this case, two people visited the club while they were contagious,” DeWine said.
The people then spread COVID-19 to employees, club members and family members.
Twelve in all tested positive, ranging in age from 29 to 81. Only one had symptoms at the time of testing, but since then, people’s symptoms have progressed.
Four people have been hospitalized. Two are seriously ill, DeWine said.
“None of us wants to make anyone sick, but the story just illustrates how this can happen in what would appear to be a very benign, friendly situation,” DeWine said.
