Here are the latest coronavirus reports and advisory map updates for Ohio and the Akron-Canton region as reported Thursday by the Ohio Department of Health.
Ohio: 147,744 cases (991 new), 15,051 hospitalizations (74 new), 4,715 deaths (28 new). The 21-day average is 982 for new cases, 66 for hospitalizations and 23 for deaths.
Summit: Level 2 (moved up from Level 1) with 5,237 reported cases (35 new), 721 hospitalizations (fivenew), 252 deaths (two new).
Stark: Level 3 (moved up from Level 2) with 2,780 reported cases (37 new), 334 hospitalizations (three new), 170 deaths (unchanged).
Portage: Level 2 (lowered from Level 3) with 1,116 reported cases (five new), 140 hospitalizations (one new), 66 deaths (unchanged).
Medina: Level 1 (lowered from Level 2) with 1,451 reported cases (nine new), 120 hospitalizations (unchanged); 39 deaths (unchanged).
Wayne: Level 1 (lowered from Level 2) with 919 reported cases (six new), 84 hospitalizations (one new), 67 deaths (unchanged).
Ashland: Level 2 (lowered from Level 3) with 236 reported cases, 29 hospitalizations and four deaths.
Holmes: Level 1 (lowered from Level 2) with 385 reported cases, 37 hospitalizations and seven deaths.
Note: Level 1 (yellow) = active spread; Level 2 (orange) = increased spread; Level 3 (red) = very high exposure and spread; Level 4 (purple) = severe exposure and spread. Levels are updated on Thursdays. All numbers are cumulative unless noted. New cases and deaths were just reported in the past day and could be many days older.
