CLEVELAND, Ohio - Red, the Steakhouse is scheduled to reopen its downtown Cleveland location Friday, Aug. 14.
Socially-distanced indoor and rooftop dining, weather-permitting, will be available at the restaurant, which is at 417 Prospect Ave. Hours are 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
In addition to its signature steaks and entrees, Red features small-plate shareables such as steak tartare and crisp chili calamari, and handhelds like Korean barbecue-chicken sandwich.
Its counterpart in the Pinecrest development in Orange Village reopened in May when the state's restaurant-shutdown order was lifted. Red's managing partner Gregg Levy served on the advisory task force that guided Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine about restaurant re-openings.
Downtown Cleveland restaurants have been especially challenged by the void of sports and entertainment draws since coronavirus restrictions were enacted.
