Forest Supervisors,
Your decision to put bulldozers into the Trinity Alps Wilderness is a bad decision. It is doing unnecessary damage. These fires are doing good work. Fire behavior is such that hand lines can stop the fires if they need to be stopped.
Loose herding the fires while strengthening existing lines that protect the communities of Hoopa, Weitchpec and Orleans is the appropriate response. Failure to do that is creating unnecessary damage to water quality, land and habitat.
It’s actually a very good thing that fire has come to the Red Cap watershed under these conditions. Red Cap has not had fire for far too long. Please let the fires do good work while concentrating on protecting communities and residences.

Most likely the decision to put bulldozers into the wilderness was taken to give work to a couple of local bulldozer guys who have not had fire work this season. If that was the motivation it is corrupt. Those bulldozers are not needed.
